The Designing AI Lab is offering up to three free projects for the summer semester of 2026. All participants join the studio with their own project focus.
Projects should engage with questions around automation, AI, and design in some form. That could mean: What does designing look like when machines can make almost anything? How do automation and AI change who designs, for whom, and why? What does creativity mean when generative tools are part of the process? But it could also mean exploring robotics, computer vision, smart materials, digital fabrication, or anything else where technology reshapes how things get made or used. If you’re curious about it, there’s probably a project in it.
Send a one-page exposé to team@designing-ai.de by April 1st. We’re happy to give feedback on project ideas in advance, so feel free to get in touch early.
